From Spes: DZUPIS'80 - tips for the next kitakits

....helo, helo! pong muli sa mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay sa ating
pinakamadramang palatuntunang DZUPIS'80!
....sana ay nasa maayos kayong kalagayan and looking forward to something
pleasant...

....oh, we had such a good time at last friday night's Oktoberfest...
....talaga namang hindi mapigilan ang tawanan...

....lately I had been needing my reading glasses more than usual and it would
kind of upset me that the appliance has become increasingly a necessity even for
reading txt messages...aba, last friday night, dahil hindi rin mabasa nila Acis
at nakasalamin na ako, ako na ang tagahanap ng song title and code number to be
keyed in for the karaoke....mabuti na lang at may reading glasses para
tuloy-tuloy ang kantahan...

....speaking of reading glasses, ibig lang sabihin, nasa higit sa wastong edad
na tayo...
....eh bakit ba naman hirap pang magpaalam sa mga partner ang ilan sa atin para
makasama sa mga kitakits....
....si Syl na ang magkukuwento ng harapan ha, not by internet, kung anong
message ang pinarating sa hindi nagpaalam....gugulong kayo sa katatawa...

....baka we're still hung up on the much admired "singleness of purpose"
determination to reach the top translating to 'single destination routine' like
bahay-school graduating to bahay-work...
....pero kung noong araw may multi-purpose hall na, sumunod ang
mutli-dimensional thinking, multiple intelligences, and with the techonology and
mutiple demands around us, multi-tasking, it's time to -- as I've read from a
book, think in terms of multi-destinations eg alongside clinical practice, May
is into running, Rene is into photography...

....for OUR purposes, it's important to establish a track record of honoring
commitments para naman this multi-destination concept doesn't get mangled beyond
recognition, eg - definitely walang kaliwaan...

....the next point is to recognize that in order to experience ourselves in
different ways and settings towards realizing our full potential as human
beings, (this is also from a book, ha) we must have our share of people who are
easy to love AND people who are difficult to love...bahala na kayo kung saang
category niyo ilalagay ang batchmates natin...but if you want to enhance your
chances of being allowed some slack to attend kitakits, ok lang kung maisama ako
sa difficult, makadalo lang kayo...

....come to think of it...ilang dekada na tayong pinagsisilbihan ni Senen? I
suppose early on, he had the wisdom to maintain his share of EASY to love people
and DIFFICULT to love people in order to realize his full potential as a human
being....I will no longer question which category we are in but I suppose the
only logical conclusion is, and nobody can beg to disagree privately or
publicly, that he needs us more than we need him :)

FromSpes: DZUPIS'80 - Fw: haiku

.....isang pong mainit na pagbati sa mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay sa ating
pinananabikang palatuntunang DZUPIS'80!
.....sana ay nasa mabuti kayong kalagayan at may kagalakan sa inyong mga puso
( background sound -- roosters crowing, mga alaga namin )

.....sa mga kapwa kong inabot ng Ondoy noong nakaraang taon, let us give thanks
for another year gone by...
.....sa mga kinalampag ko noong dumaan ang Ondoy - sina Paul, Popo, Carlo - at
sa tulong bilang pakikiisa ng batch, maraming salamat....
.....special thanks to Carlo who, despite discovering that I'm the batch
treasurer, carried on with collecting donations, also through his paypal account
( abonado pa nga siya) for the Ondoy Fund...
.....btw, seedlings from the mango seeds I planted last summer have just been
transplanted... a fitting marker a year after Ondoy.... I hope they'll be sturdy
enough by summer....
.....and the roosters and cackling hens providing the background sound are
progeny of the few that survived Ondoy :)

Subject: haiku

Ginang, Binibining, DJ Spes,

Isang maiinit na pag-bati mula sa kaibayuhang dagat dito sa lupain na
ginagisnan ni Pochahantas. Ako po ay isang masugid na tagasubaybay ng
inyong palatuntunan magmula pa ng simula . Ako din po ay isang tapat
ninyong tagapaghanga. Ang mga liham at sulatin ninyo ay kamangha-mangha
na nakapag-dudulot ng saya at ng mga balitang kaaya-aya.

Itago n'yo na lang ako sa pangalang John Smith. Ako ay dating si Juan de
la Cruz, subalit pinalitan po ang aking pangalang nuong ako'y
naging lubusan ng mamayan ng bansang dinayuhan.

Ipagpaumanhin po ninyo kung 'di gaanong maayos ang aking
pag-gamit sa wikang tagalong. May katagalan na rin po kasi akong
naninirahan sa labas ng ating bansa at 'di na ako gaanong bihasa sa
pag-sulat sa ating sariling wika. Pero, nakakahiya 'man pong ilathala, 'di rin
po ako bihasa sa wikang banyaga.

….blah blah blah ... here it goes, my first stab at Haiku, I
don't know if you could write more than one block at a time, but this is
what I came up with. All I know is that each block should have 4 lines,
7 syllables per line and that end of all lines rhyme.

Para Sa aking "BFF":

Heto na ang address ko
Dalawin naman ako.
Dos-ocho, tabing Poso,
Kalyeng puno ng Osyoso.

Kung ikaw ay maligaw
Sa balak mong pagdalaw,
Sundan lang alingawngaw
Sankatutak na langaw.

Sa tabi ng bahay ko
Maraming galang aso.
Sa tapat ay may bangko
Sa lasenggo ay puno.

Kaya naman kaibigan
Dito na manuluyan,
'Di kulang sa inuman
Nagkalat pang pulutan!

person, ha, in fairness.
Btw, I can forgive you for missing MJ's This Is It
movie but please don't miss the chance to see SIGWA directed by Joel Lamangan. I
heard the film will be screened in the US, too, kaya kahit doon mo na lang
panoorin in October.

[upis1980] DZUPIS'80 - calling on tropas

....isa nanamang panawagan ang sumasainyo dito lamang sa pinaka-aabangang
palatuntunang DZUPIS'80!

....sana ay nasa maayos kayong kalagayan, mga ka-batch....

Sa kasalukuyan ay binubuo na po ang panibagong board para sa ating UPIS Batch
'80 Foundation.
Inaanyayahan ang mga tropa na pumili ng kani-kanilang representative para maging
board member. Syempre, dating mantra- dapat lahat kasama- kahit silent type ang
tropa niyo. Ok lang kahit puro good-looking kayo basta ang mahalaga may
kinatawan kayo para marinig ang inyong tinig at makibahagi kayo sa mga proyekto.
Hindi rin naman kailangang magpasikat dahil magkakabatch din lang naman ang
magtatawanan at magkukwentuhan kapag may mga meeting. Culinary & bartending
skills will help para naman exciting ang menu kahit potluck ang meetings. Kindly
submit names to Herman.

Oh, this early please block off December 29, 2010, wednesday, for our annual
pre-New Year gathering. The following day will be a holiday so it shouldn't be a
problem. It will be held at Mariko & Dave's Luyong Restaurant in Marikina, to
start at 5pm. Start thinking of a nice hat to wear to the party, and a white
elephant item for exchanging and stealing gifts. Siguro naman, your tropa will
have more than enough time to prepare for a song or dance number :)

And, Janina, naaalala ko 'yon. At yung mga sikreto natin noong araw ay top
secret pa rin! At alam mo ba, yang si Syl? Si Manny? Nito ko na lang naman
nakahalubilo yang mga 'yan....ang lulutong kung tumawa...

Sa mga heartwarming na pasalamat na pinahayag para sa inyong lingkod, allow me
to take a really slow & deep bow....ooops, yung reading glasses ko, baka
malaglag nga pala....my reminder that it's been over 30 years....

O, yung salamin niyo, baka malimutan niyong atop your head lang pala....but of
course, let us be like wine, getting finer as we age... ayos ba, Syl?

"isang pag-ibig," was the casually intoned request from a woman that shook me
out of my reverie
it flashed through may mind to say, "ako rin, ho" and then
I realized she was handing me her fare to be handed over to the jeepney
driver...
and she was getting off at the PAG-IBIG (Home Development Mutual Fund) office
along Buendia Ave., in Makati....

with that let me welcome you once again to....
isa nanamang yugto dito sa pinkasikat na himpilang DZUPIS'80!
kumusta pong muli mga ginigiliw na sana ay sumusubaybay pa rin sa e-group kahit
nagkakanda FB na talaga ang mga mid-lifers....

....tumpak, mga kaibigan! It's out Pearl Anniversary event! Simula na po ng count down...ilang tulog na lang upang...

Since the panic button is about to be pressed, we're having a meeting at Mario Molina's on June 19, saturday 6pm, to tie up still the many loose ends for our big affair. Of course, dating gawi, potluck pa rin ang food and drinks...at para sa mga unaware. matagal na po kaming naka reunion mode so do come and join us for another festive gathering...mabuti na rin to familiarize yourselves with the 30 years later faces and match them with your mental images of them from way back...ito naman kasing si Syl, sasabihan akong kamayan ang isang kasama tapos tatanungin ako kung sino yung kinamayan ko...aba, hindi naman madali malagay sa ganoong spot, 'no?

oh, some people were asking who sent the pahabol line last time and for whom...sorry, my lips are sealed....but welcome that because it assures you your secrets are safe with me... :) ok, ito, ah, na-e-entertain ako sa pag-d-dj...

and yes, mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay, pati pala cigarettes, na ka-sachet na ngayon sa sari-sari store katulad ng mga hair shampoo...

...sana ay nasa maayos kayong lagay, mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay....

...at bago kayo mag-relax ng tuluyan, siguraduhin nyo lang po na nakapagpahayag na kayo ng inyong pagdalo sa ating July 10 Pearl
Anniversary affair at kung ilan ang inyong panauhin na isasama upang mabuo ang ating guest list at headcount for downpayment purposes sa venue...aba, pati pagpaparis ng table cloths at napkins- as in texture and color combinations ay kasama sa usapan which goes to show how much attention and effort is being poured into this event....sayang naman if we will miss your company at such an affair....

....A number of classmates have communicated with Syl, and a classmate I spotted at church confirmed he'll be there, contrary to the rumors I earlier heard...so, mga ginigiliw na sumususbaybay, please make sure your attendance to our affair has been confirmed...

....also, start airing the disco outfit from your baul...we don't want to be mothball scented as we indulge in those unforgettable dance moves and steps...kaya nga habang nagpaplantsa ako, sinasabayan ko na yung tugtog ng dance steps at kahit markings lang muna yung arm and hand movements...kasama sa insayo yan because it primes the brain for the full execution of movements...ingat lang na hindi masunog ang pinaplantsa...

....by the way, maybe we can do another fund raiser....since many of us are part of the diaspora, or some are simply wanderers/adventurers/obligatory travellers, how about a collection of landscape pictures taken by batchmates wherever, over the years and turning them into a set of single fold cards to serve as any occasion greeting cards...why landscapes?...eh kasi wide appeal even to non-batchmates and more importantly, because our Pearl Anniversary is a collective marker of a point in our individual journeys.... and landscapes as silent witnesses to these journeys ...at sa totoo lang, this is to substitute for the fund raiser sale of nude paintings some classmates were more than willing to pose for, for the sake of (abstract) art... So, just label your wonderfully awesome landscape pictures and send them with pride and utmost generosity -with no expectation of compensation kasi fund raiser nga eh- to Andoy for compilation...

....yung mga presentation niyo sa program natin, ha? Dapat polishing touches na lang ay bonggang-bongga na for the big night!
Who knows! You may just be the next "surprise batch idol"

....pahabol na message....miss na miss ka na raw niya. At sabi niya, the moment you read that line you'll know who it's from....ohhhh

Hi guys,

We had so much fun last night at Cesar and Zari's house discussing the program for our reunion. Dumating sina Senen, Debbie and Omee from Paranaque, Andoy from Bulacan, Acis M. from his tour around the world (he works on a cruise liner as a pastry chef), Hermie, Mario M., and of course si Herman. I posted some pictures sa FB account ko.

We have 31 days to go before the reunion, malapit na yon kaya we would like to remind everybody to inform us if you want to participate or perform para mas masaya, to start sending your pictures to Manny and confirm your attendance.

We really have to do a head count before the event, and only those who will confirm will be counted for the dinner buffet. All you have to do is CLICK the ATTENDING option sa invite that Raffy and Dindo posted. If you have a guest, please indicate plus one or two. Again, if you're a sponsor (donated at least P5,000 for the event), you are allowed to bring one guest free of charge. Aside from that, only batch mates are free of charge.

If you are bringing a guest along and you're not a sponsor, you can pay upon registration, charge is P1,000/head. We'll have a list prepared for those who are attending and will indicate if you have a guest.

Even if you are a sponsor, please indicate also if you are bringing a guest along.

If you are married to a batch mate and both of you are attending (like me and Dodo, Herman and Aleli, Eva and Gil, etc), please indicate plus one also unless the spouse will confirm on his own.

Please do not assume that we already know if you are attending or not, we have to see it in black and white so that we can update our list. Di po namin nababasa ang isip niyo, ok?

So far, ang confirmed pa lang who will bring a guest along are Renan, May Ann and Syl (ako po yon).

DISCO po ng theme natin and sa July 10, 2010 ang ating reunion to be held on the 42nd floor (awesome view!) of Discovery Suites.

And to be able to do that, all we need from the rest of the batch mates are konting time to attend the remaining meetings in preparation for the reunion, send your hs pictures na nakatago sa baul and reply to our email and start the ball rolling.

To those who won't be able to come home, alam niyo na kasama namin kayo in spirit and that we truly appreciate all the help and assistance that you extended sa batch to make this reunion possible. .....mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay, sana ay naiingatan niyo ang inyong pangkalahatang kalusugan....

.....para sa mga madali nang mamakalimot, hinihiling ang inyong agarang pagtugon dito sa mahalagang paalala....

.....at doon naman na mga nakakatiyak na talagang naaasahan pa ang kanilang alala/memory, sana ay hindi na nga kailangan ang paalalang ito dahil noon pa lang ay natugunan na....

Hinihiling po na pakisagutan na ang e-vite para sa JULY 10, 2010 affair mula kay Raffy at Dindo.

Kailangan nating malaman kung ilan ang paghahandaang dadalo, kasama na ang inyong panauhin o guest o di kaya'y partner o date.

Dahil limitado ang ating resources tulad ng pondo (which btw holds true anywhere you go) batchmates lang po at ang mga accelerated (pakitanong na lang po kay Syl :)) ang maililibre. Para sa bawat panauhing isasama ay may katumbas na P1,000.xx na contribution.

Kung kayo ay nakapag-ambag na bilang "sponsor" sa July 10 affair, maaari kayong magsama ng isang panauhin. Kung higit isa ang isasama niyong panauhin, may katumbas na rin na P1000.xx na contribution para sa bawa't isang karagdagang panauhin.

Sori po to disappoint you ngunit hindi po kabilang sa mga "sponsor" ang mga namili ng fundraiser CD na labor of love nila Pia.
To confirm if you are a sponsor, please get in touch with Herman or Senen.

This RSVP matter really matters because only those who confirm by responding to the e-vite will be included in the guestlist, and will beassured of a seat at the affair.

We are allotting P1,000.xx for each who confirms and this is no small amount. Once we give the hotel our expected guestlist number, we commit to pay whether those who confirmed do attend, or not. Siyempre sayang din naman, di ba?

Again, because resources are limited, we'd like our resources utilized optimally so let's minimize leaving the matter of expected number of guests AND attendance to chance. The time and careful attention that each of us gives this matter will exponentially celebrify our Perl anniversary. O, bongga, diba?

....well, what more can I say? Kahit kami sa showbiz ay hindi exempted from delivering strictly business matters....ahhy, kailangang mag-unat-unat uli ng facial wrinkles....

Noong araw, nabasa ko nakapagpagawa siya ng kapilya featuring his creations. He now has a resort and spa in New Washington, Aklan. O, diba? kung may New York sa Cubao aba'y meron din palang Washington sa Aklan...

...mabuting balita - sa kabila ng pagbuhos ng ulan na firiday pm rush hour pa, natuloy ang pagpupulong kina Syl tungkol sa ilalaman ng ating programa sa July 10...

...bukod sa naging mabunga ang pagtitipon, nagalak din kami ni Syl dahil nakarating si Bing2, si Boogie and guess who?! Aba, si Ferdinand Felix aka Tukayo and more popularly known these days as Pastor Butch...at asahan niyo, makakasama natin siya sa July 10...

...ang dami-dami na nating mga papremyo para sa program kaya iahanda niyo ang mga sarili niyo na makilahok sa games...don't worry, hindi gaanong mabibisto ang short term memory gaps niyo dahil long term memory ang mahahamon...

Alam ko namang hindi ka na nakaatras noon kasi nakapagbitaw ka na ng 'oo' nang bigla kitang yayain...at siyempre pa, ang quiet tambayan natin doon sa malaking tindahan sa may kanto ng Balara.

May pinagtataka ako lately. Kasi, habang tumatagal na madalas kong nakakasama itong si Syl eh parang pahlutong ng pahlutong ako kung magmura...OMG! That really came to my attention as I was driving last night to the meeting at Syl's through the pouring rain, encountering stretches of heavy traffic, flooded sections and unfinished road projects. Has her company uncovered a once-hidden genetic trait or is it something I acquired? O, ayan, nang may katuwaan ka naman...habang nagdr-drive...

..isang mainit-init na pagbati sa ating mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay dito sa pinakasikat at walang kapantay na himpilang DZUPIS'80!

...sa kasawiang-palad, hindi ako nagwagi ng anumang premyo sa pa-Bingo noong nakaraang biyernes ngunit nabusog naman sa tawa...kasi naman, laging off by one number ang mga numero sa Bingo card ni Jerry V...

...napag-iisip tuloy ako... kung dapat ko ng samantalahin ang alok sa tuwing bukas ko ng e-mail na mapapasaakin ang 60% ng US$28million na nasa isang bangko daw sa Africa...aba, kung totoo 'yon ay wala na tayong aalalahaning fund-raising para sa July 10 at pati round-trip fares from wherever at first class accommodations for the reunion ay sagot na even for those coming from abroad...at puro big-time ang performers bukod sa akin, of course, at ang mga papremyo sa ating raffle, naku i-i-snob-in na yung ref...at malamang may out-of-town batch gimik pa sa...maybe Palawan...pwede na siguro sa El Nido...o di ba?!...talagang masarap mangarap!!! Libre naman daw at di bawal sa mahirap!!!

...ahhht...habang tayo'y nangangarap, pag-igihan na ang pagsasanay sa inyong aawitin o kaya naman ay sasayawing bilang sa ating programa sa July 10...take courage, it's mind over matter...after all these years, kayang-kaya na natin mag-project, as in, taas noo kahit tinikling pa 'yan...full of confidence na hindi maiipit sa kawayan...kaya ang mga ka-tropa niyo, walang tigil niyo nang kalampagiiiiin...dahil mahigit dalawng buwan na lang po ay dapat pang-idol na talaga ang inyong performance level...at kahit limpak-limpak ang ating pondo para sa July 10 to pay for known performers, priceless kasi ang endearing & entertainment value of seeing each other share a talent or two on stage...at inuulit ko po, mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay...sabay-sabay nating abutin itong pangarap na maging... surprise batch idol...

....paalala muli, raid your baul for high school pictures to be sent to Manny, along with a more current one para sa Noon at Ngayon slide show....

....also check your baul for a late 70's-early '80's disco outfit for you to wear to our July 10 affair

....ahhht....sana'y....maulit muli....ang Binggohan!....kaya't antabayanan!

...ahhht...tuloy-tuloy po muli ang pagsasahimpapawid ng ating palatuntunang DZUPIS'80!

....sana ay nasa maayos kayong kalagayan, mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay....

....sa lahat ng mga nakadalo sa photo-op, sana ay nag-enjoy kayo...iunat lang with your fingertips ang lines from all the squinting we did under the bright sun...

....maraming salamat kay Paul Sison & co. for the photo-shoot....

....sayang nga lang at hindi nakarating ang mga make-up artist dahil naipit daw sa traffic...

....pero maaasahan naman daw ang photoshop to work miracles...and sana to add the faces of Janina and Joy to the group pictures....

....inaasahan po ang inyong pagdalo, mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay, sa gaganaping Bingo kina Syl at Dodo sa darating na biyernes, April 23, after work....potluck po as usual and bring your preferred drinks...marami pong mga mapapanalunan kaya nagpagawa na ng bodegang sinlaki ng Multipurpose Hall si Syl para sa mga premyo...

....ahhht, para kay Beth, sana ay maganda ang daloy ng iyong training para sa fund-raising run...kung hindi lang sana gaanong mainit dito mag-aalok na sana ako as local counterpart for a paralllel fund-raising run pero 1000 meters lang, ha...at per meter ang patak ng donation ng sponsors...daig pa ang metro ng taxi....

....sa lahat ng mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay, huwag mag-atubili na magbahagi ng liham, manawagan o magpahayag ng inyong mga mensahe....gamitin lamang ang DZUPIS'80 bilang subject...at kung gusto niyo magbahagi ng recipe or good humored advice para sa middle-age woes ay pwedeng-pwede rin....

....ahhht....kumusta nanaman po muli sa inyong lahat....mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay sa ating pinakasikat na palatuntunang DZUPIS'80!...

....maligayang bati para sa inyo na may anak na nagtapos nitong nakaraang Marso ng kinder, prep, elementary, highschool o di kaya'y college etc...isang bouquet of orchids para sa inyo!...

....dahil walang nangahas humula ng lumikha at umawit ng kanta na pinahulaan ko sa ating mga tumatangkilik sa ating palatuntunan noong huling pagsasahimpapawid....napilitan po akong gamitin yung gantimpala dahil may deadline yung gift certificate para sa makakahula... roundtrip tickets + top of the line accommodations inclusive of all meals for a a group of five at a high end resort in Boracay for the 4-day Holy weekend!....whohw! Hayaan nyo dahil may pagkakataon pa kayong manalo naman ng premyo sa BINGOhan sa April 23 kina Dodo & Syl...tiyakin nyo lang na kaya nyo magbuhat ng ref....

....ahhht....habang naghahalungkat kayo ng mga litrato para sa Noon at Ngayon slide show na itatanghal sa July 10 reunion, pakibuksan na rin ang baol at maghanap na ng late 70's disco outfit para sa reunion...at kung hindi na kasya ay may panahon pa naman para kumasya kayo uli sa inyong bell bottoms, cigarette pants o baston...if your memory is starting to fail you and you're wondering what outfit that would be, try to recall VST & co., Hagibis, Village People, Saturday Night Fever... to get into the groove!...at paki-rehaearse na rin yung dance steps ni John Travolta para wagi!

....ahhht....para sa mga nahiligang timugtog ng gitara noong highschool, aba, panahon na na mag-insa-insayo muli at magpakitang gilas sa pagtugtog at pag-awit sa ating big event, kahit pang-kalibreng Freddie Mercury lang...

.....isa nanaman pong liham ang aking ibabahagi sa ating mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay....hindi kasi siya sumagot sa text at off-line ang kanilang landline...

.....para sa isang kaklaseng itatago natin sa pangalang....Anna....

Dearest Anna,

When I look back, you were arguably one of the wisest persons in our high school crowd, gently drawing those around you to step up to a higher level of thinking, understanding & compassion. Sometimes the wisdom shared then came from things we saw on TV, or heard in church that we absorbed like we were sponges. Like Gina quoting "The world is fair; it breaks everybody's heart, " or Marycil telling me about how humus is linked to humility.

So how does that play into these days? Well, when I talk with my kids who are all in their teens, I keep reminding myself that indeed they may be wiser than their years, and I don't have to be right all the time.

Oh, so sorry, Anna, our reunion venue is strictly non-smoking area, but just 3 or 4 floors down the elevator, there is a smoking area. But I suppose we should be wise enough now to know the better alternative...hahaha!

...at syempre...dedicated yan sa lahat ng ating mga kaklase na hindi nagkatuluyan at maging doon na rin sa mga nagkatuluyan...at pati na rin sa mga tuloy pa rin ang paghahanap....and, even as the going gets rough we can gently remind ourselves, as the book I'm reading states it - we are guests in the universe....

Isa po ako sa masugid na tagasbaybay ng iyong palatuntunan at nakakatuwa pong basahin ang mga nakakaaliw at nakakabaliw na liham mula sa ating mga batchmates.

Thankful po ako kay Sylvia at bilib ako sa talent nya sa paghahanap ng mga "nawawala" nating batchmates. Si Syl po ang nag add sa akin sa Facebook at nag request na mai add ako dito sa ating group mail.

First time ko bale makaka attend ng reunion ng batch and I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody on July 10. Nakikita ko rin ang mga pictures ng mga ka batch natin sa FB, some I still recognize kahit na "matured" na ang itsura. And thank to FB and this group mail, na-update ako sa mga happenings ng batch.

It's funny how a stream of faces pass before our eyes as we read email. Gina used to say, "straight from WAKASAN" (title po yan ng Filipino illustrated komiks noong araw na tapos ang kwento sa bawat issue, hindi "itutuloy..."). Now I wonder if she meant mukhang bida o kontrabida.....pero syempre dito sa DZUPIS'80, lahat po tayo bida!
Kung hindi kayo sang-ayon na lahat tayo bida......aba'y kayo na nga ang kontrabida......

......isang pahabol na pasasalamat din sa mga nagpa-abot pa ng pledges para sa Noel Fund. Dahil nasara na po ang "pledging session", antabayanan na lang po natin ang payo mula kay Claro....

ahhht....para sa mga heartbroken nanaman....hindi na natuto.....isang awit......

Simple lang makarating kina Syl.... Mula Commonwealth Ave., kanan sa pagitan ng McDo/Shell at EverGotesco. Sundan lamang ang kalye at sa dulo nito gumawing kanan sa may guard house. Sabihin lang sa guard at ituturo sa inyo ang lugar nila Syl. May tricycle din naman sa kanto ng McDo/Shell.
Kung galing kayo sa Katipunan, kumanan papuntang Celebrity Sports Plaza at pagkalagpas ng Albergus/Pandan Resto, kumaliwa patungong Commonwealth Ave...

Siyempre po, potluck pa rin pero kung hindi kayo masarap magluto, drinks na lang o chichirya, o kwento..... kalibitin na ang mga ka-tropa!...

May nagparamdam na muli sa YM makaraan ang ilang taong quietude o pandededma....at umaasa akong makakarating siya!....Abangan!

Mabuting balita! Hindi mo na kailangang maghukay sa mga gamit mo ng litrato para sa "Noon" portion ng "Noon at Ngayon" slide show na bubuuin ni Manny at ipapalabas sa July 10. Nabanggit ko na ito kay Susan. Naalala mo nung bumiyahe tayo nila Amihan at Susan sa Batac with the late Ma'm Flores? Aba, we have three pictures in swimwear at the beach, and one along the steps of a rectory. Tamang-tama dahil apat naman tayo. Now for the "Ngayon" portion you can bring a recent picture of yours/your family, plus, the four of us can go to the beach again for a pictorial, this time wearing, hold your breath..... malong naman siyempre. I haven't mentioned this to Amihan but I am sure she will not object to the malong idea...

Isa pong paalala sa ating mga ginigiliw na sumusubaybay. Mangyari po lamang na ipadala ang inyong scanned/digitized pictures ng "Noon" at "Ngayon" sa email ni Andoy o ni Manny by March 30 sana dahil marami-rami ang mga litratong kailangang ayusin at lagyan ng captions.

Muli po kayo inaanyayahang lumahok dito sa ating palatuntunan, maging liham man, pagbati o panawagan. Lagyan lang po ng DZ-UPIS'80 sa subject at ipadala sa ating egroup.
